Prototype iPhone
So more information on 3.0 is being released today, so it’s a good time to look back at what the iPhone has been though. Quite the change, right? This prototype phone is not the same as the one being auctioned a few days ago. This iPhone is from Germany. Enjoy.

Maine wants every student to have a Macbook
I believe this is something every state should look into, preferably Florida!
The state has long struck deals with Apple to provide laptops for many of its students, and according to a report by the Associated Press, it’s in negotiations with Apple to expand the deal this year, putting a MacBook on the desk of every public school student from grades 7 to 12. The 100,000 laptops would run to a cost of roughly $242 per computer per year, or an annual total of close to $25 million.
The state’s program already covers 37,000 middle schools and about 10,000 teachers. Best of all, the money being used to purchase the macs are not from the taxpayers: the money is from existing resources.

iPhone Specific Ads
These ads take advantage of the iPhone’s accelerometer and requires the user to shake the phone to begin the ad. This ad shows up in apps such as, iBasketball, iGolf, iBowl and iTV. Some believe that Dockers (company who created the ad), has created a monster that will soon start to attack all iPhone apps! I rather think possitive.
iPhone Apps for Designers/Bloggers
KERN
A game of typography. Position the missing letter of a word as the word falls from the top of the screen. The more accurate the kerning, the more points you receive. It’s a fun game for the typography fanatics out there (like myself).
EYE vs. EYE
Next up we have EYE vs. EYE, developed by the same company as KERN. This game tests your ability to recreate a color using RGB sliders and you can play with a friend! Perhaps a fellow designer or color enthusiast?
cliqcliq Colors
This is a fantastic app. cliqcliq Colors is essentially a palette generator, but it has camera integration and so many cool features. It reminds me of COLOURlovers, but for the iPhone.
WhatTheFont
Ever seen a great font in a magazine ad, poster, or on the web and wondered what font it is? Whip out your iPhone and snap a photo, and WhatTheFont for iPhone will identify that font in seconds! Wonderful tool.

Check your website or blog stats on the go. Enough said! You need this.
